Alex Whistler

Spoken-word Poet

Im autistic, ADHD, transgender and a dissociative system.

I've gone from bad to worse experiences, in 2020 I escaped an abusive relationship, i've moved about 10 times since 2018, including a hotel and thats not counting a few sofas and floors here and there.

Whilst I've got out of some awful situations I've always found myself on my feet, thanks in part to my own resourcefulness and sheer luck, but mostly due to the support network around me.

If I can add a thank you to broxtowe youth homelessness  for saving my skin with their advice and advocacy.
